Today is quite a chillaxing day. Aside from a morning chaffeur duty, didn't really do anything. I saw a dvd lying on a shelf in my uncle's room, and decided to watch it....Curse of the Golden Flower. Its another movie directed by the infamous Zhang Yimou. Two words describe this movie. Dysfunctional Family. The scenes and costumes and everything were really nicely done! I like that aspect of the movie. The Storyline though, well, I guess every family has a tendency to be dysfunctional, and the royal family is not excluded, only difference is, things can get really out of hand. I recommend the movie, its not a bad movie, its decent.

Been catching up on the tv show HEROES these 2 days. Thanks to a link provided from a friend, I now am streaming it without downloading it! yay! What I found out from it is, there's more twists and turns than a downhill session of a mountain pass in Initial D. And its a good kind of twist which makes you go, wtf? and then you'll get pulled in even deeper. It's a really good tv shows, at least one of the better ones on tv these days. Few can argue that its X-men wannabe. But honestly, the character development and what not is better than that.

COOLNESS

Handed resume into some banks, and sadly, not much reply yet. I am gonna try more banks tomorrow and hopefully i'll get some calls sooner than later. Also thinking about doing the Canadian Securities Course exam. The drawback is that its $890. So my plan is to find a job, and then register for that exam. It'll help me down the road.

An update on the weekend.

Friday started out quite early. Early in the morning, around 940 or so, I set out to various banks to drop off my resume hoping to find a position somewhere. This was done after being inspired by a friend and thinking things through, its time to stop so procrastinative(is there such a word?). So off I went to ATB, TD, BMO, CIBC, RBC. Some of them said to apply online but they would take my resume anyways, so that's good I reckon. The adventure continues tomorrow hopefully, but that is still tentative, as my grandma has to fast for 48 hours and she might be weak and I don't want to leave her at home with my grandpa only. After dropping off the resumes, I went to pick up my lil cousin from school and then proceeded to the movie theaters where I saw........

Pirates of the Carribbean: At world's End
It was a very long movie and they needed to get a lot of the things through, which kinda makes sense, but I am sure they could've somewhat shorten it. In any case, the end was worth waiting for, absolutely liked it! Pretty much similar to the 2nd one I find, but a bit better. We had to see it cause after watching the 2nd one, there's really no choice but to watch the 3rd one. Caught the noon showing, and we got awesome seats too! No complaining from me.

After the movie, I came home and we proceeded down to Calgary. The trip itself was ok, didn't do anything, just pretty much stayed at my uncle's and chill. Bought a couple chinese movies which I intend to watch. I ate A LOT! My aunt in Calgary is awesome when it comes to making food, i wasn't hungry at all during the trip, which is amazing since I am ALWAYS hungry. Anyways, Got back here today(sunday).

Went to the driving range with some friends which I did pretty well in actually, happy with my performance today. Afterwards, we went to taipan and had a quick dinner before deciding to go watch a movie...and the movie of choice was....

Pretty much everything the first movie was. *semi spoiler*And the ending is pretty much like the first one too...(If you watched the first one)....*/end semi spoiler*. For those who liked the first one, you'll probably like the 2nd one, nothing too fancy and what not. And so was my weekend in a nutshell, now i am just going to sit infront of the computer and rot a little before I go to bed =)

Final Fantasy XII has officially taken over my life. That's all I've been doing the past few days. FFXII. hahaha, aside from a visit to The Bank Ultra Lounge which was quite uneventful. I shall not visit that place for a long while. Anyways, back to FFXII. The graphics is stunning, especially the cut scene. Well, it helps when you are playing on the PS3 with a HDMI connected TV. The gameplay is probably not new to MMORPG players, but it is something new for me cause I am not accustommed to such gameplay but I am getting the hang of it and its getting to be quite useful, haha.

The Bank Ultra Lounge, i think my fascination with that place has come to an end, sure it was quite interesting the first few times going, but that place has lost its appeal at least for me anyways, so i think i shall stop going to that place for a bit, no more lounging or clubbing for a while

Calgary on monday was fun and interesting, it was nice getting away from Edmonton with some friends. I didn't bring a camera, so the pics that we took are in a Friend's camera which can be found on Facebook. Although I did save one picture down

Yes, I drive safe, I promise

Going to Calgary again tomorrow, but this time with family since it's my aunt's birthday in Calgary. Hopefully we get to somewhat go shopping as there are something that I intend to purchase for my car.

I am supposedly watching Pirates of the Carribbean tomorrow with some friends at NOON, but nobody got back to me yet, gottta call him up to make sure. Then race home to get going to Calgary..haha, awesome day it will be.

It seems like blogging is a way for me to procrastinate studying, cause when I am on not in school, I seem to not blog as much. Sure I do more, but I also blog less..haha...oh well

Finished God of War II a whlie ago. And I have to say, it was a great game, with replay value. But, the thing at the end kinda ticked me off. The beginning of the end. So I am guessing there will be a sequel and they are making me wait! GAH!

Started watching this chinese series that I borrowed from a friend. 四大明捕. Its about 4 "police" or loosely termed in the olden days. With flashy "kung fu" stuff, you know, the typical special effect stuff. Its not too bad, but its kinda getting boring, but I'll probably finish it for the sake of finishing it =)

Going down to Calgary tomorrow with a couple of friends, it should be fun! I'll post some pics if I take some or get my hands on some!

Grey's anatomy, I need Season 3!! someone hook me up!! hahaha Also, must get my hands on heroes episode 12 onwards!! Please?

Movies to watch:
Pirates of the Carribean 3
Fantastic Four 2
Shrek 3
Transformers
Rush Hour 3

Starcraft 2 got announced!! although I am not much of an RTS person, but I did used to play starcraft, so this is quite the big news! Maybe I'll purchase a starcraft and start playing again?

Spiderman 3 was awesome! I loved it! Not sure why there were people criticizing it that much, but spiderman 3 lived up to spiderman! It stayed true to spiderman. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly.

Almost finished God of War II I believe, was fighting Zeus when a friend called to go help him from stuff from his flooded basement. His carpet is soaked thoroughly, but everything else seems fine. The guy has so many collectible comics and dvds in the basement it's not even funny, I really hope everything turns out ok cause that basement is the shit!

I am playing Paper Mario too for the Wii, its really interesting, the graphics and such, being able to switch from 2D to 3D is quite ingenius! Opens up a lot of other perspective!

Grey's Anatomy hit a roadblock. The Dvd that my friend burnt me is corrupted from episode 10-12, so I am downloading them again and its taking a while. Must finish downloading so I can keep moving forward with it again! Be patient I shall.

I guess I didn't mention this. Got my marks back for winter semester at NAIT. GPA of 3.45 giving me a collective GPA of 3.60 for the whole year. haha, First time in the world where I've gotten marks like that, for half the effort. But, having said that, I did learn things I wouldn't have learnt at the University, and I am grateful for that nonetheless. It was a wonderful experience. But now, that work, where's the phone call at??

Tell me this isn't the best episode of Whose line is it anyway?

Recent addiction!

So on Friday, I had nothing else better to do in the evening, so I started watching Grey's Anatomy that a friend of mine lent me a while back. Bad idea. I think I got addicted right away. However, I only saw a couple episodes on the weekend as there were somethings to be taken care of. Monday and today was a different story. I think I sat on my ass for quite a long time, just watching it, episode after episode. I am at season 2 Episode 3 now. Onwards we go.
On Sunday, I was invited to a bbq set up by a fob friend of mine. Also on the forecast was rain! But heck, we went through with it anyways. Consequence, it got really cold as the sun went down. And I hid in my car for the later part of it. Don't ask why I didn't just go home, GAH! But that aside, it was fun, lots of good food, good burnt marshmellows, minus the part where me and another friend had to drive around for a good hour looking for firewood.

Interview went ok I guess, just have to wait for a phone call from them apparently, crossing my fingers on that, but I wont put too much hope in it.

So in other words, my quest for a job continues......
