Could this be true?
My term at CNRL is finally coming to an end, apparently. Well, I shouldn't use finally as I've only been up here for a couple months, there have been people up here for years. I have learnt quite a bit of things when I am here, a lot more things are so clear now that I will never have learnt if i was in head office only. I can safely say that I don't mind being here.

Kany West Concert is tonight! I think I will be a tad late for that, but should be fine! teehee! Can't wait for that to happen! Hopefully it will be a good concert. And this concert would mark the end of what was a crazy May.

Got tickets to the beckham game, but never made it cause i was in Fort Mc, then there was Vegas, and then now Kanye West.....good times indeed......

well, just finding things to write here, will make a post with lotsa pictures soon....

Well now, the Trip that is to Las Vegas Nevada has now concluded, and I find myself sitting in an office in Fort McMurray again.

No longer will I see the Neon Lights shinning brightly, the posh hotels and what not. It is almost depressing, however, being up here, I am actually able to rest lots at nights, and save up money as I don't have to spend money. So there's always a positive side to things.

Got into Edmonton in the wee hours of Thursday Morning, found out my car wouldn't start, and all in all, didn't get into bed till 330AM, woke up at 630AM to get to work on time. Worked the whole day, then when I finally got home at around 515pm, I threw laundry into the washer, and slept till around 830pm. What a good sleep that was, so good that I thought it was 830AM the next day and freaked out cause I thought I missed my flight to Fort Mc, Alas, it was the PM and I was safe. A friend made his way to my place to pick up a pair of jeans I help him buy. Then at around midnight I went to a friend's place to give her the stuff I helped and bought for her. After all is said and done, I had about 3.5 hours of sleep again.

All that coupled with an average of 4-5 hours of sleep every night at Vegas = a very tired me. So Last night, I hit the sack at probably 630PM and woke up at 530AM..a good 11 hours of sleep.....that was sooo good. I might be doing that again today....you can't have too much sleep.

All in all, it was a fun and tiring trip, with lots of money spent. It is time to replenish that...hopefully it won't take me too long with me being up here, gotta spend wisely.

One big thing I have to get used to when I am up in Fort McMurray is that; I will miss out on a lot of things that happen in Edmonton, birthdays and what not occassions. Its not like i am not included in it, sometimes, it sucks to know that you can't make it to something no matter how much you wanted to. But, I think I am already slowly getting used to it. In one way, I can save a lot of money not going out, but in a way, I can't help but think that this will sever the closeness I have with some friends.

But hey, sacrifices sometimes have to be made. I took this job because I needed it, and I have to come to Fort McMurray because my job entails it. So not much I can do about it but make the most of the situation. Make the money, gain the experience for an even better future.

Is this the lifestyle I want to lead? It's hard to say right now cause I just started my life up here. Its something new, its really different than Edmonton. And I do wonder if I can do this long term. Things up here are much more interesting and challenging too. Sure, its somewhat stressful sometimes, but most of the time its interesting at least.
