The week that was.....
So it's sunday night now, and being bored and have nothing else productive to do, I guess this would be a good time to blog.
Being the City of Festival, Capital Ex or formerly knowned as Kdays was on this whole week. So we went to check it out on monday, and not too surprisingly, it's the same thing as every year only different toys and dolls that can be win. Although i have to admit though, the stewie toy does look tempting enough to make me want to try and win it, but I held back.
Tuesday was spent staying home and not doing much. So with House M.D. season one just lying around, I decided to start watching it. Bad idea, as I found out that it was quite the addicting and i just kept on watching it. Wednesday was basically the same as tuesday. (yes, i lead a very boring life)
On thursday, the afternoon was spent on the internet and/or house, and then wing called and wanted to chill, so him and sam came to pick me up and we went to grab something to eat at pagolac, which is cheap and economic, not to mention quite fast. After which we went to wing's place to watch some tv, pool and DS. America's got talent is quite a funny show to watch, while the finalists for so you think you can dance can actually dance quite well. at 1130, some lady knocked on the entertainment room door and basically told us that we were too noisy and that they couldn't sleep. What were we doing? hmmm, watching tv and playing Ds quietly is all. I guess old ppl have hyperhearing which i find odd. but oh well, we got told =(
Uncle and family decided to go red deer on friday for an overnight trip. So, in a rare oppurtinity, i got the house all to myself. The peace and quiet is awesome. And I spent most of the day just watching house until alex called to see if i wanted to grab a bite which i agreed to since i was too lazy to cook. Yokozuna was the destination, but they were closed, so kyoto we went. Let's just say it was the best jap food i've had. Not impressed. The oil they used to deep fry tempura was old and dirty(noticeable from the way tempura was cooked) and not to mention that the tempura was overcooked and doesn't taste good at all. But i still finished it cause i was hungry(i am called a garbarator for a reason). After dinner we went to see miami Vice. Jason was supposed to come but for some reason he didn't leave his house early enough and didn't make it on time. tsk tsk. It was an Ok movie,a bit too long, but some parts were entertaining. Gong li was hot for her age. Met up with Wing, perry, dave chung and jeff tan at perry's place to see what's happening afterwards and eventually we decided to go to 99 karaoke. But before that, transformers the movie..ahh..brings back memories...but anyways. Karaoke was ok...sausage fest and I didn't really sing, so we left early and called it a night.
Saturday's morning and afternoon were practically the same, watching house until Alex came and we met up with wing to kick a football around. Not bad exercising once in a while. After which we went to riverbend OJ'S for some food..mmmm, beef dip for the win! During dinner, Hiromi messaged to see what we were doing, so called her back and we made plans to go to wem for a bit of shopping. We had about an hour of shopping before the mall closed, so after a trip around, we went to louis' restaurant where we got some hot and sour soup and drinks. mmm..awesome! Made plans for the night and then made a pit stop at wing's place before the 4 of us made our way to perry's. Disney and Music scene it! were the board game of choice for the night. what did i find out? I need to watch all those disney cartoons again, they bring back lotsa memories and i suck at music questions when they are not from the 90's.
so that's my week, damn, what a long post, I doubt anyone would read the whole thing, heck, i probably wont re-read it. Have a nice day!

After quite an "eventful" weekend, it is time to recap it.
Woke up on Friday and had quite a few things to burn before heading out to meet up with Wing and Tmo after their work. Mainly burning the dvds that I borrowed from Tmo, and the initial D songs I promised him. When I looked outside and saw the brightness of the sun, I decided to whip out my contact lenses again after almost a year of not wearing them, and to wear sun glasses. I swear I'll get blind if i didn't wear those sunglasses, why does edmonton weather have to be like that? Anyways, when I went to check my eyedrops for my contacts, i found out they expired back in April, not wanting to risk using expired eyedrops, I guess i'll have to shell out some more money for some eyedrops. Either that, so have the contacts so dry that it would stick to my eye forever. haha.
But anyways, met up with Wing at the University and then lrt to downtown where we are supposed to meet up with tmo eventually. We were supposed to find lenses for Tmo's glasses but then Super Optical closes at 7 and we were too hungry to care about those lenses. Not wanting to venture too far from downtown for dinner, I suggested we go to Bistro Praha since neither Tmo and Wing went there before. Let's just say they were not dissapointed by that place, as no one should be. Walked back to Tmo's place after dinner, weather on friday wasn't too bad, as i will find out on the weekend how bad it will get. But anyways, chilled there for a bit before heading over to Louis' restaurant for a night of poker and ummm, ds fun. A lot of ppl showed up, which surprised me. But it was a good night.
5 hours of sleep later, and an hour of getting to and finding a parking spot for the grand prix later, we were almost regretting our promise to help kingsley with the grand prix cause it was hot there. Wait, hot is an understatement. It was boiling! hahaa...but selling magazines and striking little conversations with ppl looking at our products were quite alright. Some of the guys at our tent proved to be quite entertaining, so it wasn't as bad as it seemed. Only thing that was bad was the weather, and now after 2 days at the grand prix, my farmer's tan is more visible than ever, oh well, it'll go away eventually, when the winter hits.....hopefully

One whole week after my last post, how lazy can I get? quite lazy apparently. So as I am sitting here with nothing to do, and finally burning the <<24>> dvds that tmo lent me. Only reason I got motivated to burn it is cause he needs it back for a bit. So to make things easy, I'll just burn copies of it and so he doesn't have to switch back and forth. DVD burner is working overtime.
Today is a slow day, not watching any dramas today cause I was utterly dissapointed by the chinese drama I was watching the other day. The ending sucked! Although quite realistic in a way, but it still sucked! It started out pretty good, then it got downhill pretty fast, but alas, I still finished it. 6 gigs of download, I better finish it! Only thing that kept me going was that cute actress in it. JK. The theme song on it is pretty good too and suits the story quite well actually.
Played a few Poker house games this past week. Wednesday at Chris' house, Friday at James park's house and sunday at ana's house. Quite entertaining and a good way to kill time. Somehow found a way to get third place at Chris' place, 4th at James' place and won some money at ana's place. Lucky somewhat as I am not as good a player as other ppl.
On thursday, went to the driving range with Alex, Jason and Anthony. It has been a while since I've last visited the range, but I got the hang of it again quite quickly. With some pointers from anthony, I think i managed to hit the ball past 200 yards on most of my hits. Could get quite addicting, but I am far from being able to play in 18 holes. Golf is a hard sport indeed. Slow, but hard.

Slow day.
So yesterday went shopping for a friend's birthday and we got her something she MIGHT like, so we shall see when she opens and uses it. After that, we decided to rent some movies to watch at another friend's place. Chose Bloodrayne and The hills have eyes. Bloodrayne, might just be one of worst movies i've watched. Kristina Locken might be semi hot, but she's no kate beckinsale. I am ashamed to say that we fastforwarded through that movie half way through, it's just that bad.
The hills have eyes, hmmm, it's your typical gore/slash/thriller movie, nothing that's all too new. but props for the gore they manage to dish out. Not as bad as bloodrayne, but it's not too good either. Overall, it's a nono for both. What a waste of time.
Today, isn't exactly the most exciting day i've ever had. just a typical lazy summer day. Continues watching the chinese drama i downloaded the other day. It started off pretty damn good, now though, it's going downhill, not liking it as much as i thought i would, but i will finish it regardless. Went to costco with the family too. didn't buy anything all too exciting. I guess i should get back to that drama again.

That's it, I am officially the laziest person in the world, haha. I have nothing to do and yet, I don't update my blogs. But anyways, here we go.
Since the last time I blogged,
My parents left for Brunei,
I went to a house party in which it was more fun than I thought it would be
Watched Canada Day fireworks and then went back to house party
Didn't have a fun time sleeping after house party
BBQ for Kingsley and Lisa's birthday
CS and watching SPL with the guys
watched Chris, Wing and louis played hockey
Played Ds with Wing and charles..haha..DS is awesome
Oh, Watched World Cup action for sure
Ok, maybe my life wasn't that dull, but that was the weekend only, I dont do anything in the weekday, except sitting down and sweating cause of the damn weather.
On another note. France all the way man!!! wooohoooo
DS multiplayer good times...everyone should get one
Zizou does not succumb to pressure
