Zombies
So, I was reading my roommate's blog, and came across 3 interesting questions...
Fun things to ponder as you watch zombie related things…
1)Where would you go first for a zombie apocalypse
2)What would you do in an event of a zombie apocalypse
3)Would you kill your best friend if they turned into a zombie…
Thinking about it, I have decided to answer these questions for my blog entry.
1. During a zombie apocalypse, I would choose to go Costco. It is such a big place, wouldn't it be too dangerous to guard? But think about it, look at what Costco has to offer, it is one big box, with probably very limited exits. Just make sure you seal those exits and entrances really well, then you should be able to hang in there for quite some time. You will have tons of food, clothing, and weapons! and their shelves, in case zombies get in, you still have ample room to move about on the shelves. I would also re-decorate the place a little, so that things are more visible. Of course, you won't be stucked alone, make sure to have non-infected people with you, and hopefully, they are people you can get along with.
2. No, I will not kill myself right away, I would try and live until the very last moment, and if i have no other alternative, boom, a bullet to the head(hopefully).
3. Hopefully, I will not have to, or if I have to, I would kill them before they turn into a zombie. But, if all else fails, yes, I will shoot my best friend if they turn into a zombie.
With the way things are now, I wouldn't doubt if zombies will one day happen...haha, jk.
Hopefully, all my training playing left4dead and COD zombies will come in handy, if the zombie apocalypse actually happens.
Until then, stay out of trouble!
The move thus far....
The jury is still out there for this one. Has this move been a good move?or just a bold one? One thing is for sure though, going back to school is a good idea. Sure, I'm kind of suffering and not getting used to the school life, but at the same time, I'm soaking up anything I can from working in a hotel, and going to school to learn about it.
For those who don't know already, I recently got accepted at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver for a 6 week posting at their HR department. Sure, I used to do HR and there might not be too many new things I'm learning, however, every HR department in every company is different, much less a whole different industry. Definitely soaking up as much there as I can. I'm also looking at this posting, as a step towards other departments in the hotel. I'll have the chance to do most of my practicum in that hotel, and if possible, I would welcome that opportunity. Fairmont is a very good hotel to work for.
The school I'm attending has very good connections, and more often than none, us students get invited to different functions that are not readily available to the general public and functions that are invite only. Recently, we were invited to attend the launch of Audi A8 and R8.
We were very fortunate to have attended this launch, in a 32 Million dollar penthouse in the Olympic Village area, complete with open bar, and a live band. The R8 and the A8 are both shown above respectively.
What else have I been doing in Vancouver? Well, the exploration has pretty much begun and trying new stuff, visiting new places....
Yes, you can't live in Vancouver without bringing an umbrella with you, and NO, that is not my umbrella, this is strictly for picture only.
It is fall season, and coming into winter, so I won't be seeing sunshine for a while, however, being by the water has a good feel to it, the places just seem so much bigger with water around!
As good as Vancouver is treating me, you know I still miss the peeps and fam in Edmonton! having moved here, it makes me realize one thing, its not the city that makes the person, its the company. I won't forget the people in Edmonton, but I'll also make an effort in creating a "Mike" of Vancouver.
Well, hope this update made sense, I'll try and write more next time, gotta keep this blog rolling! =)
