I have a very good reason for not writing in blogs. That is, I am finally coming up to Fort McMurray on a consistent basis. My current travelling schedule is this; Monday to Thursday--> Fort McMurray, and friday i am back in the Edmonton Office. This would mean I work 48 hours per week, because I work 10 hours per day in Fort Mc. The good thing is, I can bank those extra 8 hours, so every week I can bank a day off! That works well for me when i decide to take vacation.
Another good thing that is coming out of Fort McMurray is that I can save a lot of money just by being up here. I don't need to spend any money on food because that is provided by the camp. So technically, I should be able to save up some major dough. Problem is, I tend to be more inclined to spend money on the weekends, which is a bad thing. So I gotta try and limit that..
One song I am currently listening to is by Keane and is called Somewhere only we know. First heard this song while watching Grey's Anatomy and i thought it was a really nice song. One line from the song asks "where have all the simple things gone?" As we all grow older, we tend to think more complex, and sometimes, the solution is the simple things. =)
ooo, Another quote that I saw at one of my co-workers' office which i found to be quite..inspiring so to speak.
" Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right. Forget the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you have a chance, take it. If it changes your life, nobody said it was easy. They just said it was worth it."- Henry MacKay
A lot of times, all we do is dwell on the bad things that happen, asking what if; we tend to forget about the good things that happens, which is kinda silly because, wouldn't it be nicer and more fun if we think about the good times rather than the bad? which is why i like this quote. Life is really too short to ask what ifs. We should just make the most out of everyday. Things happen for a reason, just go with it.
