What time is it? Blog entry time!

Hump day at work, which means I am half way done my shift! Saturday marks the 5th day of my 10 day shift for those of you who do not know how to count or too lazy to count. ;)

Not much has been happening in my world, just the same old! Getting more and more anti social by the minute and not wanting to go out much at all!

Although, I am trying to change that! I don’t like the anti-social Mike, he has to go! I have to be more social, its more fun that way! hehe.

Last weekend, was ok, didn’t do much, although I finally cash in on that Christmas gift I got from my company. $150 for Sorrentino’s Italian Restaurant. The beauty of the Christmas gift is that, it also comes with a bottle of wine from the owner’s private cellar! When I show the waitress the coupon, she recognized it right away as the owner of company frequents it. She said she’ll choose the wine for us, Which is 2004 Zenato Amarone Veneto. It is truly an expensive wine. Very red in Colour and smells really good too. There is no aftertaste after drinking and goes down really easy, perhaps it is the best bottle of wine I’ve enjoyed. Downing that between 2 people was fantastic! We had two appetizers to start, Prince Edward Island steamed mussels and crab cakes, both very exquisite! Then we had a seafood fetuccine as a 2nd appetizer. Veal shanks and Sea Bass were the entrée. For dessert, we got a trio of Crème Brulee, which included White Chocolate(fav), Passionfruit and I forgot the last flavor. Now, through the excitement of getting ready and all, none of us remembered to bring a camera and as such, didn’t take any pictures.=(

That was the highlight of the weekend food wise. =( Hopefully next weekend when I am back, I get to go to another restaurant to try out some other stuff =).

Another highlight for the weekend was the Edmonton Car show. I had no intentions of buying a new car just yet as I am very satisfied with the one I have now, however, after seeing and sitting in the cars that were showcased, I had quite the itch to buy a new car! Haha, amongst some of the car I was interested in are the Audi A4, Nissan 370Z, Nissan Altima SE coupe, BMW 335xi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, etc. But I cannot justify myself buying a new car this year, the market and recession just doesn’t dictate myself buying a new car. So this summer, I will spend some money “modding” my car per se, adding new stuff to it and what not! It should be fun! I think its also time for an overall inspection on the car, it has been underperforming as of late.

Also saw Street Fighter: the legend of Chun Li over that weekend. It was seriously a bad movie! Even the fact that Kristen Kreuk was starring as Chun Li didn’t help the movie. The Street Fighter franchise has so much potential, and they come up with this excuse for a movie. Two words; Utter Disappointment!

Currently, I am playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope for the Xbox 360. It’s really like one of the old school Japan RPG, i.e., Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc where you would level up characters and what not. I really like such RPGs because I can spend a lot of time on it. Especially when I stay in camp and have nothing to do, this really helps me kill lots of time. Last night for example, I spent a good two hours playing before sleeping. When I look at the clock, it was 730 or so, then when I look at the clock again, it was 930. Already spent about 5 hours on it and I only started playing on Tuesday. Pretty good for staying in camp and sleeping early!

Anyways, I think that’s all I have this time…. Peace out for now!
